Our Insanity classes were fun while it lasted but numbers dwindled and we chose to do something else on Saturday mornings!.
Why Do Insanity?
The Insanity workout is designed to help you get fitter, much fitter than you are today, and quickly too.
It’s based on a process called Max Interval Training that helps you push yourself out of your comfort zone to achieve the results you desire.
What is an Insanity class?
Insanity is a high-intensity workout that turns interval training upside down!
In traditional interval training you work hard for short periods followed by longer periods of recovery.
During an Insanity class you will be doing just the opposite.
You’ll be working flat out in blocks of effort lasting 3 to 5 minutes. Then taking breaks just long enough to get some air, take on some water and wipe down the sweat. Then it’s time to get right back to work.
Shaun T, creator of the Insanity programme, calls this Max Interval Training, because it keeps your body working at maximum capacity through your entire workout.
The workout encourages you to keep exploring your limits, forcing your body to adapt, and that’s how you get in shape fast with Insanity.
Are You Fit Enough For Insanity?
It’s up to you… Are you ready to get on with it? Ready to get yourself fitter than you are today, or will you wait a while until “the time is right” or “you feel more like it”?
Every exercise in the Insanity workout is designed with different levels of fitness in mind. No matter how hard an exercise might be, there is always a modification to reduce (or increase) the intensity of that move.
I Won’t Know What To Do.
No previous experience is required. You always work at the level that you want to. An experienced instructor will always be on-hand to teach you the correct and safe way to exercise.
